Atlas Autism Health offers Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children aged 2-6 in the St. Louis region. We are a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence® (BHCOE®) accredited center, and as such, we provide quality and individualized care to ensure each child flourishes. Your child's preschool years are a critical learning time and our St. Louis centers are here to help your child achieve their developmental milestones.
We encourage skills development through play and social interactions, and our naturalistic approach helps children discover how they learn. Our play-based program combines ABA principles with early childhood developmental science. We only utilize practices with strong clinical evidence. Our team meets your child where they are and helps them grow in confidence as their skills improve.
Preschool-aged children at our centers enroll in our School-Readiness Therapeutic Early-Intervention Program (STEP). This comprehensive program helps children acquire the skills they need to thrive in school, which include:
Our program combines play-based group activities and 1:1 individualized therapy to maximize skill development and social engagement.
The Atlas team enthusiastically celebrates each child's development. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) oversee your child's treatment goals to ensure they get the care they need. We will engage in frequent parent coaching and collaboration meetings to ensure we are working together to support your child's development inside and outside the center.
Therapy rooms at ABA centers mimic preschool classrooms, making it easier for children to transition to mainstream school systems. Our centers also provide ample opportunity for children to develop and practice social skills. Our St. Louis facility offers:

Our program, which emphasizes school-readiness, can be a stepping-stone to a traditional school setting. We will work with children to teach them the necessary skills to successfully transition to a school environment. Based on your child’s needs related to their autism diagnosis, Atlas could be an effective alternative or preparation for preschool. Atlas is particularly suited for families who would benefit from one-on-one support, individualized behavior plans, and weekly parent-coaching. Reach out to us to learn more!
Atlas is relentlessly focused on helping your child make progress and develop amazing skills to live a full life. Our program relies on data collection and analysis to track progress and make data-driven decisions. First, we start by collaborating with caregivers to develop individualized goals and plans. Next, our staff are constantly implementing these plans and tracking each child’s progress.
We then have multiple weekly meetings to review your child’s progress to celebrate skill achievement and adjust interventions as needed. We will meet with you, as often as every week, to review progress, celebrate wins, and adjust goals.
ABA therapy is considered a medically necessary treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This means that insurance providers are required to cover the cost of ABA therapy to some extent. However, the amount of coverage can vary widely.
Medicaid covers the full cost of ABA therapy, while commercial insurance providers may only cover a portion of the cost (require a co-pay). Some insurance providers may limit the number of ABA therapy sessions that are covered each year. It is important to check with your insurance provider to understand what your coverage includes. If your insurance provider does not cover the full cost of ABA therapy, there may be other options available to help you afford this important therapy.
Atlas is here to help you navigate your insurance and understand your coverage.
