Atlas Autism Health, a leading provider of center-based behavioral health services for children, announced its new location in Jefferson City, Missouri (2707 W. Edgewood Drive, Suite 105), is open and accepting clients. Marking its second center in the Mid Missouri region, the first in Columbia, the expansion reflects Atlas’ commitment to the community, serving additional families to help more children with social, communication, and behavioral challenges grow and succeed.

This will be the first ever ABA center to open in Jefferson City. “Being able to open a clinic in Jefferson City really opens up more opportunities for those families in rural communities to be able to access these services,” said Lindsey Foust, BCBA, LBA, who is the Clinical Director of Atlas Jefferson City.

The center’s team of highly trained professionals provide evidence-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to help young people develop and learn. The program is specifically designed for children ages 2 to 7 years with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis and is run in a preschool-like setting to help improve their school-readiness skills and build independence. Atlas’ clinical team partners with the child’s family to develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans.

"Parent training is a core component of the Atlas model. We want to ensure that what we are teaching clients in the clinic setting we are also able to teach families how to do those things at home.."

The Jefferson City center will create over 40 new employment opportunities for jobseekers, including experienced board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) and registered behavior technicians (RBTs), and have the capacity to serve up to 24 clients. At ~5000 square feet, the center includes specialized therapeutic and play spaces.
